These Terms of Sale apply to digital books and other digital content sold directly through Alden M. Corvale by Verhuisservice Nederland BV, trading/publishing as Alden M. Corvale.

2. What you are buying
Unless a book page states otherwise, a direct ebook purchase includes a personal-use PDF edition and EPUB edition. EPUB files are reflowable and page counts can vary by device, app, font and display settings. PDF page counts refer to the fixed PDF edition. Any compatibility limitations known to us are described on the product or checkout page.
3. Personal-use licence
Payment gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use the purchased files for your own personal use. Copyright and all other intellectual-property rights remain with the author/publisher or other stated rights holder.
You may not resell, redistribute, upload, publicly share, sublicense, rent, provide access to download links, remove rights notices for redistribution, or use the files to create a competing commercial edition except where applicable law expressly permits an act that cannot lawfully be restricted.
4. Orders and payment
An order is placed when you submit the checkout and complete payment with an enabled payment provider. The checkout button clearly indicates that the order carries a payment obligation. Paid download access is released only after the payment provider confirms a successful payment. We may reject or cancel an order where payment fails, fraud is suspected, a pricing error is obvious or the transaction cannot lawfully be completed.
5. Prices and taxes
Prices and currency are shown before you place the order. Applicable VAT, GST, sales tax or similar indirect tax is handled according to the seller's tax configuration and applicable law. Where Stripe Tax is enabled, Stripe may calculate tax using the customer's location and the seller's Stripe Tax registrations. Tax collection by a payment provider does not remove the seller's responsibility to maintain correct registrations and filings.
6. Immediate digital supply and withdrawal/cancellation rights
Digital downloads can be supplied immediately after confirmed payment. At checkout, where required, you are asked separately to:
- expressly request that supply of the digital content begins before the end of any statutory withdrawal period; and
- acknowledge that once you start downloading/accessing the purchased digital content, you may lose the statutory right of withdrawal where the applicable law allows this.
The CMS records that choice with the order. For EU/EEA consumers, this is intended to implement the rules for digital content supplied without a tangible medium. Your mandatory rights are not removed where the legal conditions for loss of the withdrawal right have not been met.
7. Delivery and download access
After successful payment you receive a secure order/download page. Unless stated otherwise, each book download token allows up to 10 download actions and is available for up to 365 days. These limits are intended to prevent unauthorised redistribution, not to reduce statutory remedies for a defective or inaccessible purchase.
You are responsible for saving a personal backup of files you lawfully download.
8. Functionality and interoperability
PDF files require software capable of opening standard PDF documents. EPUB files require an EPUB-compatible reading app or device. Features can vary between devices. The direct-download files are not intended to require a proprietary account with this website after download unless explicitly stated on the product page.
9. Faulty or non-conforming digital content
Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory rights relating to digital content that is defective, corrupted, materially different from its description or unusable because required compatibility information was not correctly provided. Depending on the applicable law, you may be entitled to a repair/replacement, price reduction, termination or refund. See the Refund Policy.
10. Third-party retailers and links
Books may also be linked to third-party retailers such as Amazon, Kobo, Apple or Google. Purchases made from a third-party retailer are governed by that retailer's checkout, delivery, tax and refund terms rather than these direct-store Terms.
11. Availability and changes
We may update book files to correct formatting, metadata, accessibility or technical errors. We will not intentionally replace a purchased work with materially different content in a way that removes mandatory consumer rights.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Governing law and international consumers
These Terms are governed by the law of Netherlands, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections that apply under the law of the consumer's habitual residence where those protections cannot be contractually waived. Mandatory jurisdiction rules remain unaffected.
